FRAME STENCILS – STURDY AND BUCKLE-RESISTANT

The alternative for stencil thicknesses under 100 µm

With a material thickness of 100 µm and thinner, SMD stencils become extremely susceptible to buckling. They should therefore not be used in this form for an automated production process. To remedy this, the stencil can be glued into a pre-stressed stainless steel mesh (SD 244/100 80 mesh), leaving space for expansion. The mesh around the stencil is then cut away, leaving the mesh frame as a support. What makes frame stencils so outstanding is that they are extremely sturdy and easy to handle.
